My name is Mike DeAngelis. I'm the owner of Michele Productions.

"Michele"...pronounced "me-KAY-lay"...is Italian for Michael. My Grandmother came to America from Naples, and my dad's legal name was Michele. The photo was taken in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, where I was born. I was the scorekeeper at the Myopia Hunt Club's weekly polo games...my first job. When I was 15 my family and I packed everything we owned into a U-Haul truck and drove across the U.S.A. to Redwood City, California.

I've lived and worked in Silicon Valley, California for over 30 years. My experience comes from working in companies like Cisco Systems, Pacific Bell, SmithKline, Apple Computer and LifeScan. I've also worked for small, medium, and start-up companies. I've been there in both the good times and bad times, as Silicon Valley companies struggled, survived, triumphed and failed. Some people made fortunes, others lost them. The ones with a clear sense of vision always landed on their feet and got right back into the game.

The biggest lesson I learned was that no matter what comes before you, you must never lose track of who you are, where you came from, and where you are going. Choose your vision wisely and then give it everything you've got. Hold nothing back. Pour all of your passion and energy and resources into whatever it is that you were put here to do. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
